FISIPOL of UMY cooperates with several parties like the cooperation of double degree with Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia, and cooperation of graduate school and international conference with Universitas Utara Malaysia (UUM) as well as Universitas Sains Malaysia. Besides, students of FISIPOL may join student exchange at the two universities; De La Salle University, the Philippines; Mindanao University Iligan Institute of Technology, the Philippines; and Thammasat University, Thailand.
Besides, UMY cooperates with several parties in Indonesia like all Muhammadiyah-affiliated universities, Faculty of Syariah Sultan Thaha of IAIN Jambi, IPDN Bandung, Secretariat General of MPR RI, Setwapres in a joint seminar, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of RI, General Election Commission of Bantul Regency, Kalla Group, European Studies of Graduate School of the University of Indonesia, Government Tourism Offices, Secretary of DPRD DIY, City Government of Yogyakarta, Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration of RI, and office of customs, and Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of RI.
