The leadership of Student Executive Board of Faculty Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Officially began  after 87 members were inaugurated on Monday, 17^th October 2016 and located at the Mini Theatre UMY PPB. Inauguration that occurred about an hour, were Attended by the Dean Faculty Social and Political Science, President of the Students UMY, Student Representative UMY, Governor Student Executive Board Faculty Social and Political Science period 2015-2016, Chairman of Student Representative DPM Faculty Social and Political Science period 2016-2016, Representative IMM Commissariat FISIPOL UM, FRESCLUB, FISMO, KOMAKOM, KOMAP, and KOMAHI UMY.
Through a selection process that is different from the previous year, the Governor Student Executive Board of Faculty Social and Political Science UMY, Abdul Arwon Turua, creating a new system in the crawl organization membership for the period 2016-2017. The election process are not only focused on the administrative requirements aspects and the ability of candidates to interview. Rather, the test phase of intensive discussions were with new management crawl. In front of invited guests, Abdul also explained the vision related Student Executive Board of Faculty Social and Political Science namely, Research Organization.
‘Student Executive Board is the container for the students, in the context of an executor can facilitate students in accordance with the potential and needs, it certainly these students should be able to create programs that can be harmonized with the needs are there, so we brought a vision Research Organization. Research Organization is not just a vision, but also as a discipline in carrying out the agenda of Student Executive Board, this vision aims to allow students to take part in conveying their ideas relating to work programs at this organization,’ said Abdul.
Delivered in his speech, DeanFaculty of Social and Political Science UMY, Ali Muhammad, S.IP., MA, Ph.D., expressed his congratulations to all the new members and told if BEM is organization which has an important role as a land of learning for the students to explore the potential of leadership , In addition, Ali also delivered his message to the members in order to maintain synergy with all elements of student affairs at faculty to work together to facilitate the creativity and potential for all student in UMY.
